Manila, Philippines -- On
December 21 and 22, 2009, a team of highly competent Quality
Management Auditors from SGS conducted an ISO 9001:2008 certification
audit to Royal Cargo offices and sites in the Philippines.
Their aim was to check if the Quality Management System of
the company is well maintained and monitored, and that the
organization continues to be compliant to the requirements
of the ISO standards.
The entire Royal Cargo team was excited and at the same time
anxious regarding the two-day audit as it was the first time
that the company was audited by SGS Team. The current certification
audit was done by another certifying body since early 2000.
The offices and sites audited include:
• Royal Cargo Head Office (Human Resources, Administration
, Finance & Controllership, Projects & Heavy Lift,
Business Process Organization, International Freight Forwarding,
Brokerage, ICTS, Legal) at Royal Cargo Building Sta. Agueda
Avenue, Pascor Drive , Paranaque City
• Trucking at 8516 Juanita De Leon St. Brgy. San Dionisio
Sucat, Paranaque City
• Repair Shop at 3128 Dr. A. Santos Avenue, San Dionisio
Sucat, Paranaque City
• Alabang Warehouse at JY & Sons Compound Km. 23
Cupang, Muntinlupa City
• Marzell Warehouse at Technofreeze Building, 1&2,
114 East Science Drive, Laguna Technopark, Biñan, Laguna
• Cavite Cold Storage at 7001 Emilio Aguinaldo Highway,
Salitran 1, Dasmariñas Cavite
Another objective of the audit was to upgrade the version
of certification from ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 9001:2008. This
activity will also test if the implementation of the Royal
Cargo Quality Management System is aligned with the changes
of the newer version’s requirements.
The Royal Cargo team was led by the Company President and
CEO, Mr. Michael Raeuber, and showing his true and able commitment
to the implementation of the program, monitored the team’s
progress from start to finish. He attended the opening meeting
and also gave remarks during the closing meeting.
The audit went well and after two excruciating day. The announcement
was then made by the SGS Lead auditor that the group has been
checked to be compliant with the requirement of the standard
and passed the audit.
Official awarding of certificate is set for early February
2010. Next in line for the certification will be Royal Cargo
branches abroad. |
