Royal Cargo Inc. has achieved FSSC 22000 Version 6 certification, including Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), for its LIIP Cold Storage facility in Laguna, marking a significant step forward in strengthening its food safety and cold chain operations.
The certification was granted following a successful Stage 2 audit conducted by SGS Philippines. The audit confirmed that the facility meets international food safety requirements, which are essential for managing risks in food storage and distribution.
FSSC 22000 is a globally recognized certification scheme based on ISO 22000 and is widely used across the food supply chain. It provides a structured framework for identifying potential food safety risks, implementing controls, and continuously improving management systems to protect product integrity.
For Royal Cargo, the certification reflects an ongoing effort to strengthen internal systems and align cold chain operations with international standards. It also reinforces the company’s responsibility to ensure that food products are handled safely at every stage—from storage to distribution—while complying with regulatory and customer requirements.
The LIIP Cold Storage facility supports temperature-controlled warehousing and distribution services for food manufacturers, importers, and exporters. With FSSC 22000 certification now in place, the facility is better positioned to help customers who require certified, food-grade cold storage solutions in the Philippines.

Following this milestone, Royal Cargo is preparing additional cold storage facilities under its Contract Logistics portfolio, including sites in Bulacan and Dasmariñas, for future food safety and quality certifications. These efforts form part of a broader plan to standardize best practices across its cold chain network and improve overall service reliability.
