TRAFFIC ADVISORY: MANILA ROADS TO BE CLOSED ON JAN 24 FOR CHINESE NEW YEAR

Several roads in Manila City will be closed on Friday, Jan. 24, to make way for the celebration of Chinese New Year.

In an advisory, the Manila Police District (MPD) said the following roads will be closed starting 5 p.m. for the concert, which will be held at Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz:

Quintin Paredes from Dasmariñas to Plaza Ruiz
Reina Regente from Soler to Plaza Ruiz
Plaza Ruiz U-turn slot
Juan Luna from Reina Regente to San Fernando
San Fernando from Elcano to Plaza Ruiz
Northbound lane of Jones Bridge from P. Burgos to Escolta

Meanwhile, both lanes of Jones Bridge from Escolta to Magallanes Drive will be closed at 10:30 p.m. for the fireworks display.

Grand Parade

January 25, 2020, Saturday, 1:00PM

ROUTE OF PARADE:

From Post Office, right to Jones Bridge, go straight to Quintin Paredes St., right to Ongpin St., left to Ronquillo St., left to F. Torres St., left to Soler St., right to Reina Regente St., end at Lucky Chinatown Mall.

ROUTE OF VEHICLES:

All vehicles coming from P. Burgos going to Binondo area intending to utilize northbound lane of Jones Bridge shall use McArthur Bridge to point of destination.

NOTE: STOP AND GO traffic scheme will be implemented during the Parade, closing and opening of street shall be based on actual traffic condition and still subject to changes.

Concert at Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz and Fireworks Display at Jones Bridge

ROAD CLOSURE: 5:00 PM (CONCERT AT PLAZA SAN LORENZO RUIZ)

Quintin Paredes from Dasmariñas to Plaza Ruiz
Reina Regente from Soler to Plaza Ruiz
Plaza Ruiz U-turn slot
Juan Luna from Reina Regente to San Fernando
San Fernando from Elcano to Plaza Ruiz
North bound lane of Jones Bridge from P. Burgos to Escolta

ROAD CLOSURE: 10:30 PM (Fireworks Display)

Both lanes of Jones Bridge from Escolta to Magallanes Drive

REROUTING OF VEHICLES:

Vehicles coming from Juan Luna intending to utilize southbound lane of Jones Bridge shall go straight to Muelle dela Industria to McArthur Bridge.

Vehicles utilizing Soler St. going to Plaza Ruiz shall turn right to Reina Regente, turn right or left CM Recto to point of destination

Vehicles utilizing Jose Abad Santos going to Plaza Ruiz shall turn left or right CM Recto to point of destination

Vehicles utilizing Dasmarinas shall turn left to Prenza, turn right to Muella dela Industria to point of destination.

Vehicles utilizing San Fernando going to Plaza Ruiz, shall turn right to Elcano, turn left to Urbiztondo, turn right to Barraca, turn left to Dasmarinas, turn right to Juan Luna, then turn left to Muelle dela Industria to point of destination.

All vehicles coming from P. Burgos going to Binondo area intending to utilize northbound lane of Jones Bridge shall use McArthur Bridge to point of destination.

NOTE: Closing and opening of roads shall be based on actual traffic condition and subject to changes.
