Royal Cargo Further Strengthens Food Safety Standards with FSSC 22000 Certification

19 Mar, 2026 by Cherry Pascual

Following the successful certification of its LIIP Cold Storage facility in Laguna late last year, Royal Cargo Inc. has achieved another major milestone in its commitment to world-class cold chain logistics. Royal Cargo North Hub in Bulacan has officially received the FSSC 22000 Version 6 certification, which includes Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).

This latest achievement marks a significant step forward in Royal Cargo’s ongoing initiative to elevate food safety standards across its entire Contract Logistics portfolio in the Philippines.

The certification was granted following a rigorous audit conducted by SGS Philippines, with the recommendation issued on February 20, 2026. The successful audit confirms that the North Hub facility strictly adheres to international food safety requirements, ensuring the highest level of risk management in food storage, handling, and distribution.

The earlier certification of the LIIP facility established a strong foundation for Royal Cargo’s Food Safety Management System, anchored on internationally accepted frameworks such as GHP and HACCP. With the Royal Cargo North Hub now FSSC 22000 certified, these same rigorous systems and controls are embedded across a broader operational footprint, demonstrating not just compliance but a unified approach to food safety.
