Royal Cargo Reinforces Commitment to Ease of Doing Business at ECCP-ARTA Forum

19 Mar, 2025 by Cherry Pascual

Royal Cargo recently reaffirmed its commitment to improving business processes in the Philippines at the Ease of Doing Business forum organized by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) last March 5, 2025. The event gathered industry leaders and government officials to discuss the Anti-Red Tape Authority’s (ARTA) ongoing efforts to streamline regulatory processes and create a more business-friendly environment.

During the session, ARTA Director-General Mr. Ernesto Perez reported receiving 25,197 complaints about bureaucratic inefficiencies as of January 2025. ARTA has since resolved or referred 98.95% of these cases, reinforcing its commitment to improving regulatory processes.

As a leader in the logistics industry, Royal Cargo recognizes that efficiency is crucial for sustaining business growth and maintaining competitiveness in a rapidly evolving global market. Royal Cargo Chairman and Group CEO Mr. Michael Kurt Raeuber, a long-time advocate of ARTA’s initiatives to simplify and expedite government procedures, attended the forum. He was joined by Ms. Elena Tomias, Royal Cargo’s Head of Pharma Logistics, and Mr. Matthias Koehler, President & CEO of EMTS Group PTE. Ltd., a Singapore-based medical technology service provider specializing in the maintenance and repair of critical healthcare equipment. EMTS recently partnered with Royal Cargo to enhance medical logistics solutions in the Philippines. At the forum, Mr. Raeuber shared how ARTA’s ease of doing business mandate enabled Royal Cargo’s successful experience securing FDA approvals, mainly for pharma and medical logistics.
