Royal Cargo Inc.’s President, Mr. Elmer Francisco U. Sarmiento was recently elected as a member of the Board of Directors for the Cold Storage Sector of the Cold Chain Association of the Philippines (CCAP), held at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Pasig City last March 9, 2016. As a member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Sarmiento will serve a one (1) year term for the year 2016 – 2017 to develop new and improve existing policies relating to the Cold Storage sector. Joining Mr. Sarmiento are Mr. Anthony Dizon from Koldstor Centre Philippines, Mr. Willy Salazar of Frabelle Cold Storage Corp, and Mr. Ronaldo Bernardo of Havi Logistics Philippines.
For the Refrigerated Transport Sector, Mr. Emmanuel Arcilla from Cold Chain Care Professional Services Company and Mr. Reynold John Madamba from Icebox Logistics Services Inc were elected to serve as directors. Mr. Ricky Noel Rubia of Monde Nissin Corporation will serve for the Food Importation and Processing Sector, while Mr. Federico Figueroa, Jr. of KFC Philippines and Mr. Edgar Fernandez of Rustan’s Supercenters, Inc. were elected for the Food Service Sector and Food Retail Sector, respectively.
CCAP is an association of temperature controlled product storage and distribution companies representing a collective interest in policy making, standards setting and industry development. Royal Cargo Inc is one of the active members of CCAP. In 2015, the company unveiled the country’s first-ever Solar-powered Cold Storage facility located in Binan, Laguna.
